Questions, Answered
Everything you need to know about how PerformIQ works, what it costs, and how your data is handled.
Is PerformIQ really free for individual athletes?
Yes. Individual athletes can use the core platform — daily wellness check-ins, the 0–100 readiness score, match schedule planning, and weekly microcycles — free forever, with no credit card required. You only pay if you upgrade for advanced features like testing, AI development plans, and nutrition.
What do the paid plans cost?
Pricing is transparent across athlete, coach, team, and club tiers. Individual athletes can upgrade to Premium for $9.99/month. Coach and team plans start at $49/month. Club and academy plans start at $199/month. See the pricing page for a full feature breakdown.
Do I need any special hardware or wearables?
No. PerformIQ runs entirely from a smartphone. Wellness check-ins, RSI reactive-strength testing, sprint force-velocity profiling, and movement screening all work without GPS vests, force plates, or any specialist equipment.
What exactly is a microcycle?
A microcycle is your training week structured around your next match. PerformIQ maps each day relative to the match — MD-4, MD-3, MD-2, MD-1, MD+1, MD+2 — and assigns the right session intent, intensity, and volume so load peaks and tapers at the right time.
How does the readiness score work?
Athletes complete a 60-second morning check-in covering sleep, soreness, energy, mood, stress, and RPE. PerformIQ combines these into a single 0–100 readiness score with clear guidance: Modify (below 60), Monitor (60–79), or Ready for full training (80+).
What is the RSI test?
RSI (Reactive Strength Index) measures how quickly an athlete produces force during a jump — a sensitive indicator of neuromuscular readiness and lower-body power. PerformIQ lets you run it from your phone to track changes over time.
How does load management and injury-risk tracking work?
PerformIQ tracks acute:chronic workload ratio (ACWR) by comparing recent training load to a rolling baseline. When an athlete’s load spikes into a higher-risk range, they are flagged so coaches can adjust before a soft-tissue injury occurs.
Is my data private and secure?
Yes. Data is encrypted in transit, access is controlled by role-based permissions, and payments are handled by Stripe. See the data security page and privacy policy for full detail.
Who is PerformIQ for?
Individual soccer players, coaches, teams, clubs, and academies. Athletes train smarter with daily readiness and personalised microcycles. Coaches use the command center to manage squad readiness. Clubs run every team to one standard across the development pathway.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Paid plans are billed through Stripe and you can cancel at any time. You will keep access until the end of your current billing period — no long-term contract.
How do players join a team?
Coaches share a team invite code or QR code. Players sign up, link to the right squad in seconds, and can complete their first wellness check-in the same day — a full roster can be onboarded within minutes.
